289 and 4 speed is out and sold and explorer engine and new rebuilt 5 speed is setting down in it almost ready to fire up...little factory radiator is out and 24 inch radiator almost in along with upgraded battery tray that has the upgraded 67 and up hold down in it. new optima battery is waiting to go in...next will be a new 3rd member with 3.55.1 gears and a trac loc.
SO MUCH FOR ORIGINAL {car supposedly has 69,000 original miles} Did I mention i dont like original

also debating on another Shelby hood scoop and front Shelby valence.

Monte Carlo bar and export brace in.
1 inch sway bar installed.
Took the 14x6 wheels off.
Put my 16x7 wheels off my wrecked car on it. Here is a before and after shot.
GT rear valence installed.
Stock manifolds replaced with Hi-Po’s and new pipes all way out back flowmasters 40’s sounds good.
Tinted windows and put new carpet.
I installed some very bright LED tai lights came with new lenses and they are so BRIGHT.
Souds like a car built right out of the Summit Catolog! Mine will be too!
Just curious though, How much do you think your car is worth now VS when you first bought it?

No Stroker but Re built the explorer but changed out the pistons for some forged flat tops also has a little bigger Howards cam. Should be a little stouter than the 289 2bbl engine that was in it.

When I eventually rebuild my engine, I will either go with Edelbrock or AFR alloy heads
OR
rebuild the original heads with roller rockers, larger exhaust ports and port polishing.
Flat top pistons would also probably be in there as well.
I want to reach 300HP.
