A ??? For Billy

My daughters son smacked up her car, might be an insurance right off.
If the ins company pays her off, how does the buy back on the car work.
IIRC you bought your Mustang back, what percentage was the buy back over the total pay out?

Re: A ??? For Billy

Rudi, it depends on the insurance company, the value of the car pre accident, and the amount of the damage to the car. There is no set percentage, but it is negotiable.

Re: A ??? For Billy

I recently lost my 2007 F150. The insurance gave me a take it or leave option on both replacing it or keeping it. They gave me more than I expected but would not break it down. I told them I wanted my money back for my brand new Michelen tires and they said they don't consider tires. I ended up with a 2019 4X4 F150 I paid 2/3 for.

Re: A ??? For Billy

I waited till they would not counter another offer to me and said I would take the amount they offered if i could keep the car and they pay the wrecker bill too and they agreed. the wrecker bill after sitting in the lot had got up to 2,000 dollars by itself.

Its really me....I fixed my caps lock .
