I just recently had my front drum brakes converted to disc brakes on my 66'. I noticed that my brake lights will not go on unless I'm applying heavy pressure. Is there any fix to this? Could I swap out the existing brake switch with a power disc switch from a later year? Thanks for the help.

Please post the specifics of your disk brake mod.....did you relocate the pedal pin?

I'm not sure, I'd have to check it out, since I didn't do the job myself.

Use a 68-70 power disc brake light switch. It has a lighter spring in it.

Thanks for the info. MustangSteve, I'm going to try it this week with the '68 switch. Hope that solves the problem.
