Nice. I watched a you tube shop tour on Stapleton42 about them. It was pretty impressive.

He did another followup video too. And Summit did a video too. That original video is why I felt good about ordering an engine from them. What I really liked is that I have their new cast block. Almost every part says BPE or BluePrint on it. The distributor module says Igniter II on it, so the module is from Pertronix. Maybe the whole distributor, don't know.

Wow that Awesome! I ordered mine the first part of April. I was hoping the end of the August but looking more like October according to when you received yours. That will give me time to get ready for installing. it. Keep us posted on your install and post some pics!

My 347 took 3 months.

When I started looking for a new engine I really liked what Prestige Motorsports had to offer. I looked at a couple of the owners videos and thought they were the ones. I received several quotes for the items I wanted on the engine, but I did not like the attitude of the sales guy I was assigned(basically why I started looking elsewhere). At that time they offered just about everything you wanted to add on to an engine. And the price reflected that. I saw another of the owners videos today and on several occasions he pointed out how he and BluePrint Engines were different. And they are different. Appears they are trying to compete with one another. Blueprint Engines did not offer many of the items I wanted on my engine at that time, but the price was very good. Looking at the new BluePrint Engine website I see that are now offering more engine options than they did in January.

Thats kind of the same feeling I had when I called Tristar engines. When I talked to the sales guy he was trying to nickel and dime me with all these add ons. Bad mouthed all the other engine companies. I just didn't have a good feeling about If I had a issue that they were going to take care of any problems under warranty and it would end being my fault regardless.

Well, I pulled the 351w out today.
That looks nice too! Were you having issues with it? Why didn't you go with there 351W or Stroker?
No issues. I just wanted to try something different. The BluePrint 347 is a 302 stroked to 347. The new 347 engine is using their newly cast 302 block.

I was gonna say, a lot of guys would be thrilled with that engine!

I ended up parting my 302 out. It has some performance parts and I thought I would do better that way.

Looking great! I used the same tap method. I put tape and a #1 on both wires I disconnected and went up the # scale.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
