hi i am doing the explorer 8.8 rearend swap into my 68 and need to get the new spring perches wondering if some one who has already done this could let me know where they got them at, and also if they cut the long tube or drilled and pressed out and rewelded, thanks for any info

i just relocated mine on a 9" (twice ; ). ) you should be a able to reuse the current perches if you are carfull with your cut off wheel. Also, be carefull not to dig into your axel tube or you will be welding the cuts back up. Very easy job...I had mine out cut off and back in the car in about 1 hour yesterday. Good luck.

Demano, I bought new from Summit Racing. Had to modify slightly to fit 3 5/16 diameter tube.

The MOPAR ones work great and are under $20 a set. Summit has them. Also have others for 43" axle, but a grinder will fit the size issue, since they are going to get welded anyway.
