Can’t find any plugs for 97 GT40 heads that will go down in the hole gar enough to engage. What do I need? Tried everything OReilly had
Autolite AP25 won’t go in.
???
The round extended portion of these plugs measure 0.610” diameter and won’t go into the hole.

I would suggest stock 1996 Explorer 5.0L spark plugs or 1996 F-150 5.8L spark plugs.

Aren't those Auto lite 764? I think that's the number. Been a while since I worked the parts counter.
Edit: I went and looked it up. Autolite 104 or 765.

I looked at pictures as listed on Rock Auto and I noticed the threads are different between the two you listed. Just trying to understand the difference.
As I recall, the GT40P heads have the short threads on plugs.

These are three bar GT40 heads. I ordered some plugs for 96-2001 Explorer 5.0 from Amazon last night. Hopefully they work
