I got my 65 convertible started!

Bought it from Ed a year ago. Just now touched it for the first time. I put plugs in it and the old 2-bbl Demon carb off my old boat engine and it fired right up. Sounds really healthy, too!

It will get replaced with the new 331, and either offered for sale as-is or might freshen it up with bearings, rings, chain, oil pump, etc

I now have a complete 65-66 v8 drivetrain I will be offering up for sale, if you know anyone who wants to swap out a T code.
289 v8
Radiator
C-4 tranny with kickdown linkage, might have a shifter
8” rear end
Driveshaft
Throttle pedal linkage
Complete dual exhaust from heads to valance
V8 front drum brakes (not spindles, though)
V8 front sway bar
Complete original power steering system for v8

Re: I got my 65 convertible started!

Are all these items from the 65 convertible?  If so, what are you replacing these with?  (other than the 331)

65 Fastback, 351W, 5-speed, 4 wheel discs, 9" rear,  R&C Front End.

Re: I got my 65 convertible started!

I have a newer C4 and a spare 8”.
The engine is a rebuilt 289 according to tag on the freeze plug.  Runs really good.
