Trying to remove Throttle Body from uppper intake manifold.

any tricks of the trade.  I've wd-40 it and the EGR Plate and Thottle body wont budge.  I've also popped it
with a rubber mallet with no luck.

Thanks

Re: Trying to remove Throttle Body from uppper intake manifold.

The EGR spacer has cooling water running through it. Prolly just a bit of corrosion, Warp that rascall a couple more times with the rubber mallet. It'll pop off.
Unless MS has been smearing the gasket with RTV, then you'll need to pry it off.

If it ain't broke, I haven't modified it Yet

Re: Trying to remove Throttle Body from uppper intake manifold.

RTV would have kept that corrosive water from bleeding out around the long studs and it would come off easily.  Usually the issue is the casting gets corroded around the studs.  Never had that happen with a carb!

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.
