Piece part name and where it mounts exactly.

This a part I cut out of the old metal of Anna's convertible. Would like to order a new one but I can't find it anywhere that supplies sheet metal parts. I can re-use the old part, but I don't remember the exact measure to weld it back. Would rather have new metal.

Sorry, I can't offer a guess.  It may help to ID what year Mustang this is.

Ed, that looks like a brace between the door jamb and the wheelhousing, down low by the floor . I believe it supports the quarter window regulator mechanisms.  My 66 coupe had them. I dont recall if my FB did. Let me check the coupe tomorrow.

I don’t recall seeing them for sale, but I can get measurements on where they go.

If multiple things can go wrong, the one that will go wrong will be the one that causes the most damage.

Re: Piece part name and where it mounts exactly.

Thanks GregB. That us way lower than I thought. TimC also sent me some measurements from his car. Between these two data points I should get it figured out.
