I own a 1965 Ford Mustang 289 with a c4 transmission I have a 1992 Ford Mustang AOD transmission and I believe its from a 1994 f-150 truck could be slightly off on year person who gave me the transmission wasnt quite sure the year of the truck. It had a 351 and a AODE transmission. I m okay with buying a separate transmission controller. I was curious what years Mustang or other model car to look for a AOD for my car? my buddy really wants the AOD as do I, so I want to try and find Another AOD transmission. The AODE may need a rebuild I guess I could take the AODE in to a transmission shop any maybe they'll take it as core carge and give me A AOD instead of AODE. Do you guys think that maybe an option. I know that's subject to the guy running the place. But you guys have been in this type of boat before and know better then I. So im looking for suggestions.
I'm curious since I'm fixing my floor and transmission tunnel will the AODE require any if at all clearancing of the transmission tunnel on my 1965 MUSTANG?
