Anybody with 15x8 Magnums on a 69-70?

Wondering if it clears the quarter panel with 235x60/15?
Backspacing of 4.5” does not seem adequate.

According to Barnett468 when he frequented the 69Stang forum, a 235x60/15 is the widest you can put on the front without it rubbing under some conditions. He said he did this on 50+ cars.
He would buy from Coker Tire who sold Magnum 500s made by Specialty Wheels with a 5x4.5 lug bolt pattern, 4.25 backspace on a15x7 wheel.
Several members used 15x8 on the back, and 15x6 or 15x7 on the front, with a 4.25 backspace, which seems to be the most common backspace used.

I'll bet you could go to the Tire Rack tire fit mitt guide web site and find out what tires and wheels will fit your car.  I had 15X8 Torque thrust mags with 245X 60/15's on my 67 FB, drum brakes and they would barely rub the rear 1/4's when I hit a bump. The fenders were not rolled otherwise I think it would have been ok.

Money can't buy happiness. Butt it can buy Car Parts... and that is pretty much the same thing.67 FastBack
