    Anyone live near Fort Knox, KY???

    My friend is thinking about a car located in Ft. Knox and would like to have someone lay eyes on it before committing to making the trip himself.  It's a '57 Willeys Forward Control on a '97 Jeep chassis...hes big into Willeys  trucks.
    Just want someone's opinion of the general condition, workmanship, etc.
    Oh, and to keep this Mustang related, I'm having the cylinder for my lift rebuilt so I can get the Heap up in the air and start a long winter of fixes and changes.

    Don't know about that, but years ago I put a 289/C4 from a 67 Fairlane and a 68 Camaro rear end into a 1950 Willys Overland. That was a real goer - and a sleeper too. Used it to go ridge running and elk hunting too. Sold it to some hippie later who was thrilled to have it. Got my use out of it.

    68 coupe - 351W, 4R70W, 9" 3.25 -- 65 convertible - 289 4v, C4, 8" 3.00

    If I was home in Indiana I would check it for you,  Knox is about 60 miles from where I live, butt(TS)  I've already made my yearly trek to Florida so I'm probably 1000 miles away right now.

    Ron:  My bud is in the middle of putting a Willys cab/bed on a '91 S10 chassis that he drove as a DD for years.  He has two restored Willys pickups but wants something he can keep up with traffic in.  It's amazing how well the Willys is fitting on the S10 frame.  Butt (TS&T), he has always wanted a Cab Forward and this one looks pretty good in the pix...but we all know how that can go.

    When you make a sharp turn with the front wheels under or behind you creates a really weird feeling

    1968 T-code Coupe with a 302.  Nice car, no show stopper for sure, but I like it.

    Actually I screwed up the name.  Willys called them Forward Control.  Not a lot of them around.

    Like the 62 Econoline I used to have, the driver seat was over the front wheels as well!
    My 68’s seats were slightly aft.

    I drove a 1966 Econoline in High School and I always told people that you drive 3’ past where you want to go and then turn.

    I have always wanted a Econoline Truck

    That is definitely the "weird" I was talking about.
