I can tell you that I originally bought a clutch cable kit from Modern Driveline for my T5 swap. When I really got to looking at it I determined it was Mickey Mouse and was probably going to fail prematurely. This led me to the Mustang Steve kit. It was definitely more work to install, BUT, as MS said, I haven't so much as thought about it since I installed it all those years ago. Simplicity of installation, and definitely cost, are poor metrics of quality. Buy once, cry once. I've told a lot of people this over the years in my business:
"The bitterness of poor quality will remain long after the sweetness of low price has faded from memory."
Over the years I've fixed A LOT of work done by other contractors people thought were as good as I was just at a lower price. They all came around to the understanding that such a person doesn't exist. I charge what I charge because I'm worth it. You could pay more, but you won't get more. You can pay less, but you;ll definitely get less. There never seems to be enough time or money to do things right, but they always find the time and money to do them twice. Quality doesn't cost; it pays.
