How much work is it to cut this 65-66 convertible seat platform to fit a 66 coupe ? I want the rigidity of this seat platform. thanks

I don't believe the platform alone will do much. It is designed to install with convertible inner rockers and also works in conjunction with these
You would also add the convertible plate that bolts the two supports together.
The convertible platform also raises your seats up which can create some clearance issues.
So, you can install one but I'm not sure what you'd gain. A good set of weld-in subframe connectors and torque boxes on both sides might be a better choice.

GPatrick, you have convinced me to stay away from this platform. Yes I will be installing torque boxes and the Tinman sub frame connectors. Appreciate your advice.

The problem for me being over 6'-2" is the convertible one piece seat riser is one inch higher than the stock individual seat risers. When I did mine I believe a full width for non convertibles was available at NPD. I bought a one piece seat riser, and cut and spliced the center hump into each stock seat riser.

RPM,
that was a project. Looks great. I am also 6'2" and will be installing 71-73 Mustang high back bucket seats. I did not know that the convertible seat platform is taller than the stock platform. Definitely do not want to have my head in the headliner.

RPM, did you shorten the stock seat riser too?

I did not Dan. I did however move them back ¾ inch. I followed the advice of a guy who did lower the seat pans, who recommends not to.
