Popular Mechanics-arbor press build

Thought this was a cool build.
Especially for the fabricators out there.

My Dad and Uncle built a drill press based on instructions from Popular Mechanics in the early fifties, working for many years into the late nineties, when we sold the house and it was inadvertently thrown out.   Even the Hot Rod magazines of the sixties had ‘building your own’ articles.  You don’t find these articles much anymore.


65 Fastback, 351W, 5-speed, 4 wheel discs, 9" rear,  R&C Front End.
