Would anyone with a '67-68 possibly happen to have (or be willing to take) a picture of exactly where on the driver's floor the headlight dimmer switch is supposed to be mounted? I never drilled the holes after replacing my toe panels. Not sure if it makes a difference, but I also have the foot washer pump.
Thanks!

I just locate mine where it made sense. With kick panel speakers my location if probably farther from the kick panel than factory. I don't think my harness had that screw either.

The front floor rug should have a hole w/a plastic ring for the dimmer switch, and could be used to properly locate the switch location ... if one has the rug.

Good point. I'm planning on installing kick panel speakers when the interior is complete; so you needed to relocate the switch after speaker install? Did the washer foot pump interfere in any way? The custom autosound kickpanels don't look like there'd be much interference.

I don't think I've had the carpet since a few days after I bought the car in 2001 ![]()

No, the washer pump pedal didn't interfere. I don't know if I needed to relocate the dimmer or not, but as I couldn't find the holes it was in originally I picked a spot that made sense and just drilled new holes. Its doubtful it was in the "right" spot anyway. The car's had floorpans and other work, and I doubt the previous owner cared if the switch was in the right spot. If he did seemingly it was THE ONLY thing he cared about getting put back right.

I have kick panel speakers in my 65 and it doesn't interfere with the high beam switch.
Also, this just came to me; there should be two screw holes in your floorpan where the switch is mounted.

Correct, my problem being that I replaced the floors and the toe boards a while back since they were so rusted out, there's now no way to tell where those holes were.
