    TKO, is that an S-10, Blazer, Jimmy, etc master cylinder?
    What years?

    A GM part number might be easier to cross reference.
    I thought GM p/n had 8 digits.

    I believe it is for the Blazer, etc.  Just Google "GM 390572" and you'll get a bunch of hits taking you to the part.

    This is the Raybestos part.  The RockAuto page has some good photos.  In particular pay attention to the mounting hole orientation and spacing. This is for the GM left hand drive vehicles and note that the outlets are on the engine side.

    I have the right-hand drive version on my car with outlets towards the fender wall.  From several searches, this part does not seem to be readily available anymore but there may be some equivalents/cross references on Ebay.

    A number of the Hydroboost kits use the right hand drive version - or at least they used to.  It works perfectly with a GM Astro Van Hydroboost and I have no idea it it will even mount to a Ford booster.

    The overall length is 6.75" from flange to tip.  Rock Auto had a clearance 3 years ago and I bought a spare just in case.

    This is a little difficult to find since there are a number of ones available for the S10 pickup/blazer and nothing I found gives the overall length of the master cylinder.  I really like the looks of this MC and would like to get some more information.  Can you be more specific about the overall length?  Thanks for the info.

    The MC for the early S10/Blazer before 1990 seems to have ports on the left side.  Ports on the right won't work for me due to not enough room above the valve covers to run lines off the MC.  Anything I have found that is compact enough is going to be really close getting the valve cover off anyway.  This is such help, I appreciate all of the info I have received.

    I did get the Wilwood compact MC and got it to fit even though it was close and ridiculously expensive.  Now I am not having much luck getting a double flare on the original steel brake line to the left front caliper.  I have cut it as short as I possibly can trying to get an acceptable flare but it continues to crack and split.  I am going to try to replace the line to the hose today.  The NiCopp tubing should make it relatively easy to do if I don't run into any more surprises.

    Was it the original line, or replacement stainless line?  I've had trouble over the years getting good flares with conventional tools on stainless tubing.  If it was just steel there may be an issue with the die, or you may be over tightening the anvil down when making the double flare.

    The OEM tubing could be brittle with age.
    You can try a drop of brake fluid on the flair tool, it may help to reduce stress on the metal.
    Do not overtighten the flair.

    65 Fastback, 351W, 5-speed, 4 wheel discs, 9" rear,  R&C Front End.
