Re: disc brakes on a65 mustang

Discs is a Must do for a street driven classic Stang, SAFETY.
You'll need to start with V-8 style spindles and build from there. Plan on replacing the 6 cyl. spindles, hubs and steering gear. And 5 lug(15") wheels. The 6 cyl springs can be reused and ride height shoulden't change.
May as well throw in Arning/Shelby drop WYAIT.

If it ain't broke, I haven't modified it Yet

Re: disc brakes on a65 mustang

Two ways to do it.  Buy a $1,000 disc brake kit that fits four lug spindles or buy a $400 brake kit with 5 lug spindles and get new wheels with five lug.  Also change out the rear end as the rear brakes are woefully small also.  Or sell and get a V8 car...

Kind of depends on your long-term plans for the car.  What do you have in mind for it?

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.
