Is there any kind of backup on any of the newer car hoods??? I never really thought about it!! I have a close friend who has a body shop, he is my backup!!

The upcoming issue of Modified Mustangs & Fords magazine should have an article on Rusty's Dynacorn build that includes a fabricated hood release from inside the car.

If the cable broke it would simply operate manually same as original.

So if that is the case, what is the point of having a remote?
On newer vehicles it is an anti theft feature but I have had occasion that on my old 96 Jimmy where the cable broke and it was a real PITA to get it fixed.
