I am about to mount my wheel spacers today and would like to paint them. The reason is that they are aluminum and will most likely oxidize and eventually look ugly since you will be able to see them. I like the bare aluimimum look however I did consider a semi gloss black. The rims are polished aluminum with Sterling Gray Metallic.
Looking for some ideas that I have not considered or should I go with the aluminum look. Thanks is advance. Bill

You might want to get them powdercoated. Should wear better than paint. Black would make them disappear. I like those wheels. What did they come from?

I would paint the spacers with a catalyzed clear.
Nice car!

The wheels came off a 2013 Mustang. Seems that these wheels were a limited edition as far as my research took me.

~~I was surprised to see them. That is close to what I have on my 2013 Mustang. Even the same color. Mine come on the performance suspension package only, as far as I know. Mine are 19" and color coated to match the car color. I have seen some similar smaller ones at the local Ford dealer, but I don't know any details.

I did mine clear ans wished I hadn't later. The first time I washed the car and could not get them clean without tremendous effort. Next time mine is apart, I will make it all satin black out to the edge of the diameter on the brake disk that the pads work on.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
