I was hopping to use an fittings or other instead of having to go to a hydraulic shop for my hoses. But my problem now is I'm debating in just going to a hydraulic shop for my lines. It needs to be 3/8 inverted flare male on one end then 16mm oring on the other. My problem is going from 3/8 to 16m. 16mm oring doesn't go as small as the 4an fittings like the 3/8 does. I know I can use a reducer which isn't ideal.. Any suggestions?

In my case I needed a 16mm type 3 to a factory p/steering setup.
Ended up cutting the pump end fitting of a new repro hose, flaring it for 6-an.
Then used a 16mm x 1.5 banjo 6-an fittng. Works great.
Unisteer carry a few p/s to -an adapter fittings.

I think you are going too in depth. By the time you buy an fittings, you can have new custom length hoses. Get the fittings from the junkyard for the rack. Only one hose is high pressure, have this hose made with rack fitting and pump fitting. The other is low pressure return, you could do yourself, or just have the fitting put on a new hose. I got both made for about 40$ total, but had 4 fittings put on using a type ii pump from a Cadillac with a v groove pulley and a jeep reservoir. Looks factory.

Awesome thanks I kinda do over think things, thought about pulling fittings from the junk yard for it.
