did you finally get your cruise cotrol to work??? I forget where you were on that project and i'm too lazy to look it up in the archives. Seems to me you were having some issues with the LED lights????
I'm thinking of putting a system in my car

I'm pretty sure he did get it working, Terry. Mike called a few months ago and told me what the problem was but my old head can't remember what it was exactly. Something to do with a bad brake light switch or some such thing. The cruise unit was fine as I recall.

i was thinking it was something to do with the led bulbs he was using. simliar to the issue you have when you try to use a standard flasher with LEDs.
What brand cruise did you guys use??

Yep...the LED lights. I've slept since then butt.......seems like electrical draw was not enough. Changed to regular blubz and all was good. Works like a CHARM!! Audiovox....get it from Amazon. The stupid Japanese converted to American instructions were a problem also. IF an American word doesn't work with the Jap word, they just....."stick-A-word" in its place. Shortfall of a "global economy" I guess.
WON'T work if you try to fool it by having te rear wheels jacked up off the ground. IF it feel no resistence..Like a jacked up tire or a tire on ICE or hydroplaning...kicks the system off.
Pretty slick actually.

Sal, did you have to put the speed sensor on the driveshaft.. or were you able to use the tach signal?
