Borg power steering ..need a littlehelp with the presure line

I have a Borg box in my 66 coupe and now that I have the serpentine brackets figured out I was trying to get lines made locally to go from pump to steering box.. I bought the AN-6 adapters from Borg  to go into the box, and looks like I can buy a Fragola AN-6 female presure line  fitting from Summit, and use an AN-6  to 3/8" barb fitting on return side, but how can I connect it to my pump? I have I think a 92 mustang pump and got a line out of a junkyard 90 something mustang that fits the pump, but the line is too short and the end going into the box was cut off. Was thinking an AN-6 hardline fitting might work on the line going into the pump if the metal tubing is the right size for the ferril that goes with the fitting. Anyone done this please chime in with what you did for your presure line. Thanks,

Re: Borg power steering ..need a littlehelp with the presure line

The 92 pump is designed to use the swivel type fitting with the o-rings on it.  Earlier pumps (pre-90?) have the compression type fitting.  I think you can change the fitting on the pump body to accept something different. You should be able to put an inverted flare on your tubing and use a flare nut if you change the pump fitting to a female SAE Inv Flare type.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.
