What "T" to use.

Hi.

I've got a '66 6cylinder, drums all around.

I switched to a '67 Master cylinder.
Now the distribution block is leaking where the line comes in.

Someone had mentioned using a T to connect the lines and just avoid the block.
It is SO hard for me to get in there and see what's wrong.

Does anyone have a part number for the T ?
The lines are all original, but I have no idea of the sizes.

Pete, I went to Advance Auto Parts and just found a brass T of the appropriate size. Use you distribution block as a sample.

It is probably not the block that is leaking.  Most likely is one of the tube connections.  You can try to tighten them, but the best advice is when you are making tubing flares, do not tighten the second part of the flare tool very tight.  Let the tube nut tighten the fitting into the female part of the fitting, completing the flare process while there is still soft metal to make the seal.  If you tighten the second half of the flare really tight, it work-hardens the tubing and then there is nothing soft left to make the seal whn the tube nut is tightened.


Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

I am not using a line that I flared.

It's all as it was when it left Metuchen, NJ on 2-2-66.
