Mercury Pickup Truck

Coming home today, I saw a Mercury Pickup Truck going down.  Looked like a 65 Ford.  I had never heard of a Mercury pickup.  I went to Wikipedia and found that Ford of Canada produced Mercury pickups.  The one I saw was in really good shape.  Here is the link to the wikipedia article.    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury_M-Series

Am I the only one who had never heard of these trucks?

Re: Mercury Pickup Truck

Mercury M-100 pickup production stopped in 1968. However, I believe the '68 M-100s were actually rebadged F-100s.

The truck in the following link is supposed to be a '68 Mercury pickup. I don't know if the grille was changed or if it's a fake M-100 (?). The grille with a red stripe across the middle is a year model too late to be a '68 grille. (the grille shown is for a '69 F-100, F-250 or F-350 Ranger).

Re: Mercury Pickup Truck

Mercurys were Canadian trucks. Same as the US F100's.
