Has anyone swapped a newer steering column into a 65/68 mustang

I've seen someone modify a gm column to remove the ignition in it and seance it was a older column it didn't have the stupid turn signal box on the left side. You could do something like that or similar. You could use a few different ones and of course modify it. I'm gonna try to use an 80s f150 column due to availability. They have tilt washer switch is on the dash they do have a ignition in them but removable I maybe able to modify my mustang top piece to have a second hold for to add the tilt lever doesn't look to hard. I know that some People use mid 60s to late 70s ford truck columns they have dash mount ignition wiper etc like our cars but if I remember correctly a main part in them ford doesn't produce any more and if it goes out your up a crick

I think some people have used the early 80s mustangs and Capri columns.

You could but they have the ignition in them and you'd have to modify Just like the pick up one
