Sounds like that maybe the best way to go for my 66 coupe that has arning drop and LCA's relocated .75" outboard. Springs I have set the car way too high with 302 eng and T-5 tranny in car. Tempted to cut a coil, but sounds like cutting a coil will reverse the benifits of the lca move.

Why not just mount the springs where they belong? It would accomplish the same thing...
