'67 Mustang - 302. I need to get at the top of the fuel pump (long story) but the oil pressure extender is blocking the area I need to get at. It looks like the extender just screws into the block. It appears to be a simple matter to remove the extender. Is it more complicated than it appears? Thanks. E.

Nope. screw out, screw in.

It has tapered NPT (pipe) type threads on it, so it should come out easily. Use some teflon tape on the threads when you reinstall it and be careful to not overtighten it. Be sure the tape cannot enter the block, so leave a few threads with no tape at the starting end of the threads.
Hopefully you have the steel one rather than the aluminum one. Many years ago I twisted an aluminum one off in the block. That was no fun getting it out of there.
