50th Anniversary Celebration at MustangSteve's - Pictures Posted

Any of you who live nearby are invited to come over around 11:00 AM Thursday.  I wil cook some bash-burgers and we can all celebrate the Mustang 50th in my shop.

I need to know if you will be coming, so shoot me an email if you plan to come. I'm in Ovilla and will give you the exact address if you say you are coming.  BYOB and lawn chairs.  Rain or shine, 100 degrees or freezing, the shop is heated and cooled and plenty big.

Just remember... If not for the MUSTANG, none of us would know each other, Deb and Larry would never have met and got married, and no telling how different the world would be.

Re: 50th Anniversary Celebration at MustangSteve's - Pictures Posted

I was lucky enought to be invited by Ford to the original unveiling location of the Mustang at the 1964 NY worlds fairs site on the 17th. They are allowing 100 mustangs only by RSVP. There will be photo ops with the new models, meet and greet Ford executives etc., Ford executives will be there driving classic mustangs from Detroit. I was also invited to the Ford event at the Empire State building on the 16th. They are again placing a Mustang on the observation deck as they did in 1964. It should be an exciting two days. This was a great motivator to get my 68 coupe in better shape.

Here is what you will get to see, Mark.  Well at least the finished result.  Be sure to scroll down to see the second video.

I'd like to go and be able to wear this that I got at the Ford Pavillion back in '64.

Pictures of the MustangSteve 50th Anniversary Mustang Celebration in Ovilla today.
Kudos to Ramses for being the only one brave enough to risk getting his Mustang rained on.

Corky... You are right.  It's all about the people.
Without the Mustang, none of us would have ever met.  A huge group of people from very diverse backgrounds coming together to party to celebrate a common bond.  Happy 50th, everyone.

Re: 50th Anniversary Celebration at MustangSteve's - Pictures Posted

Had a great time at the Empire State building, Ford threw a great party the night of the 16th. The next day we were at the unisphere where Ford threw another great party. They brought a 2015 and drove a few classics from detroit. Henry Fords granddaughter was there, made a nice speech.
