    Anyone have a good source for large 1", 1-1/2"rubber body plugs?

    Trying to fill the original heater core holes in firewall (1" holes, but flared into engine bay) and I need to find a 1-1/4" plug for a hole I made in engine bay area for my wiring entry hole that I changed my mind on...after I bored the hole I bought a gromet/plug kit off ebay that has some of what I need for other spots, but nothing up to 1-1/4"). Waiting on reply from old air products...AC system I bought...I would have thought there would have been a couple plugs in their kit for the old heater core holes. Planning to use one of the heater core holes for direct read sender-oil and water temp cable/tubing. Also need something to plug the oval hole in floor where speedo cable comes through. Plenty of grommets and grommet kits out there, but haven't found any good places buy plugs. Thanks

    Try googling diaphram grommets, rubber plugs or plastic plus. 
    I had used "alliance-express.com", not sure if they have the size you need.

    65 Fastback, 351W, 5-speed, 4 wheel discs, 9" rear,  R&C Front End.

    Another consideration, you can try "electrical knock-out plugs" (or also called seals).  These are metal and snap into place, and are available at Home Depot, Lowes, etc, or electrical supply houses.  You need to watch the size, as these are listed in the "trade size" that is not the acutal diameter of the hole.

    65 Fastback, 351W, 5-speed, 4 wheel discs, 9" rear,  R&C Front End.

    If I remember I'll try checking my local family owned ace. They have all sorts of grommets and stuff like that. They had all my interior trim screws in stainless for my 65 and all the j bolts and body bolts I needed for my 65 I would've spent a fortune if I would've went threw a mustang supplier

    I ended up getting a couple big feed thru plugs that were slightly oversized and ended up using my cut-off wheel to make them into  grommets...then trimmed one side of the cut and used tacki cement to glue them in place. one for my oil line, one for water temp line. Will try to post some engine bay pics tonight if I get time.

    http://www.rubbertherightway.com/ I ran across these one night perusing the net. Haven't ever ordered anything but looks like they might have what you need.

    Ya know, if you are never going to use those extra holes in the firewall, they should be closed up with steel. The whole "firewall" thing you know?
