    I'm thinking aftermarket.  No OEM  would rely on a little setscrew like that to hold a shift knob on. 

    Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

    C'mon, am I the ONLY guy here that had one of those exact knobs on his 1971 VW beetle?

    No, mine was on a 64 Beetle.
