I have the head unit, the part that goes inside that turns the unit on and off. What else do I need to complete the AC system?

Might help, you can find most of the parts you'll need from a variety of Mustang vendors. You could also check out Classic Auto Air, I believe they have parts for the factory system as well as offering some pretty nice retrofit systems.
