Those high beltlines and huge slabby front and back ends don't hold a candle to the original - no matter how many horses are under the hood, or how good the suspension and interior are. =)
There was an art and style that went into our original 60s cars, and it won't be seen again (thanks to modern regulations, mostly) ... but it will be missed! All those graceful curves, and subtle styling cues are hard to put in when you're dealing with things like big square body-colored safety bumpers.
Sure glad that some of us aren't ashamed to make our old rides newer and better in a lot of important ways.
