Side Glass Weatherstrip Channel

I am about to put my side glass weather strip channel back on my 66 coupe.  I purchased the correct foam strip with the adhesive on one side.  My 2 questions are:  Does the adhesive side go onto the car or the channel?  The holes are slotted so there is obviously some adjustment.  Any ideas or reference points to mount the channel in it's place?

Re: Side Glass Weatherstrip Channel

your'e talking abot the big, long chrome piece that goes from the upper front fender all the way to the quarter panels, right? a non-hardening sealer goes betwen the body and the chrome and the rubber goes in the chrome afterwwards.
you shouldn't have any problem figuring out how it bolts on. the holes will already be in there. the slots give you plenty of wiggle-room.
