Another freeze plug question

Finally back to work on the car after this long, cold winter and noticed one freeze plug on the ground.  Motor in the car and was without fluid other than oil.  Haven't inspected the rest yet, but wondering if I should replace them all or just the one that popped?
Thoughts?

Scares me.  Freeze plugs do not just fall out.  I'd put the one back in and run the motor.  Keep checking the dipstick for signs of water mixing in and if you do see it, stop the motor and drain it immediately.

Re: Another freeze plug question

Once you verify that nothing else is wrong with the engine, by replacing just the one as suggested, you need to replace ALL of them.  If one is rusty, ALL are rusty.

Rather than just an annoyance of leaking some water, a freeze plug that pops out while you are "getting on it" will put slimy slippery stuff right under your wheels and can cause an accident.  A friend had this happen at the drag strip and he lost control of the car.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.
