Going to go look at a potential Mustang purchase tomorrow

65 GT convertible, pony interior, 4 speed HIPO K 289.  Disassembled for restoration many years ago but never reassembled.

I'll report back after I get a good look at it.

You can't go look until you've asked us what its worth by the description you just gave.
Good Luck. I haven't worked on a Hipo since the 80s, every once in a while I think I'd like to do the restore route on one.

OK, here is a better description of this car advertised as NOT RUSTED.

THE CAR WOULD BARELY CAST A SHADOW.

I passed...

Re: Going to go look at a potential Mustang purchase tomorrow

That really sucks. Sorry to hear.
Were all the HIPO parts present and accounted for? Some of us in the Midwest ain't afraid of a little rust....

NOW, have you decided your plans for the all original fasback yet?

The all original 65 Gt fastback now belongs to another one of our forum members and resides in Illinois.

On the convertible GT, the original engine and tranny are long gone.
