I'm looking to protect my underside with some rust proofing, found some areas with new panels that are Not protected,I like the black body shutz kinda stuff that dries semi Hard,I know some say moisture gets under and can cause issues but my car is an occasional driver and well protected in my heated Garage,as usual Comments, advise, pictures welcomed
Previous Owner done such a decent job on the body, only to neglect the underside

Since you keep your car well protected in bad weather a "super-duper" undercoating would be wasted $$ and work...IMO. Rattle can rubberized stuff should by more than satisfactory.6sal6

There is a product called Noverox, popular in Asia, Australia and Europe, no idea about USA. I work in environment with continuous saltwater exposure, this product is the strongest, best, easiest to apply (can be brushed on or sprayed on) anti rust product I ever seen, it will even stick to unprepped surface to certain extent. Really good stuff, quite pricy but last a lifetime and does its job like nobody's business. It smell really bad tho...

I'm a little surprised that someone hasn't mentioned POR by now. "Paint Over Rust" has a good reputation along the Gulf Coast for keeping rust at bay. Its a little pricy and a little tricky to apply, but so is anything else that might do the job.

I had a really bad experience with POR15 pealing off in sheets!! It will not stick unless you use 2 other of there prep products at $40.00 each, AND there's NO paint or primer on the surface. Which if you think about it, the bottom of any old car is going to have some old paint, primer, or undercoating of some sort . Which means you'll have to strip ,and or blast that all off first just to make POR15 stick. Then when your done your still guna want to undercoat anyway so you don't have to hear every pebble ping off the bottom of the car when your driving....
