I've got two Kenwood speakers mounted in my doors (1966 coupe/w big roller cam!!) Anywho....the round metal grille covers keep falling off! Any way to fix'em without big globz of RTV?!
Thanx

Sure. It comes in enough colors to match any decor.

RTV was my first thougt but , depending on how they mount them to the speaker, you could possibly have tightened them to tight into the upholstry. I know because I've done that. Try loosening the speaker a tad and snap them on. Or RTV the do do out of em.

Three small dabs of RTV around the perimeter. Use clear. It cleans up easiest. If you put the RTV inside the cover instead of on the speaker, I would think you would be less likely to smear it around.
But I know you too well, sal... Lay in a boatload of rags!
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
