It's ok to be slow, it's the results that matter. The car is a beauty. 

I am liking that color. Real close to mine. Tried to duplicate mine on a couple of Hotwheel cars for my grandkids and had a real difficult time and didn't come real close.

Thanks again for all the kind words, Guys.  The wires hanging out of the fender are all the connections from the power dist. box to the headlight harness and to the dash harness.  I decided to use Delphi weather proof connectors for ease of installation or repair.  That "wad" will tuck into the space between the inner fender and the headlight bucket...I hope. 

Dave, I hope some day Maria will get to do a comparo between your color and ours.

MS:  You're probably correct...and I hope you are.  The right fender/cowl gap is significantly wider than the left side so what you say makes sense.  We talked about the fender/cowl/A-pillar situation on the phone and I agree that moving it out will allowit to move back a bit.  I'll probably try it but I have to say, at this point I hate to mess with it.  The miss-match appears to be one of fender shape, not position but we'll study it a bit more.  You certainly got more 'speriance than I.  Thanks.

As for the "pimpy" look, well, If ya want big brakes ya gotta have big wheels.  Jean loves the Cragars so there ya go.  Actually, I think once it's down in it proper stance it will look pretty decent.

Walt and Markin:  Thanks for asking....Mom is doing amazingly well.  Came through the surgery and put a big grin on the docs face.  She had fallen and broken her wrist.  At 92 that is seriously serious.  She also has other issues that made the surgery a 50/50 proposition but she signed the consent form and went for it...she has all her faculties better than most 65 year olds and the option (no surgery) was a guarantee of custodial care for whatever life she has left .  Now she's gotta do six or eight weeks of skilled care and therapy but if she does ok she'll be back in the assisted living place where she's been.  We'll be heading home on Sat or Sun as we can't do anything for her right now.  Unless something changes we'll see ya soon.

Those gaps in that area bug the crap outa me too! I sorta cured mine by elongating the holes where they bolt to the inner fender.  And "re-bent?!"the edge under the windshield trim. The fender/door Clarence on passenger side now contact each other....I really hate that!
