I'm almost doing a homemade J rack swap for my cousins 64 1/2, I have a question thought.
To get away from having some tapered sleeves made to be able to use the inner tie rods. I was thinking of using two pieces of 3/8" flat bar about 22" long drilled out at 18 1/2" on each end to be at the stock length apart. Then on the those holes I was thinking of cutting off the old tapered part of the draglink and weld it to the back side of the bar. That way she still can use the stock inner tie rods. What do guys this about this?

MS sells bushings for such a condition, but I don't know if he does for the taper of the J-car rack.

That's a good idea maybe I could weld those sleeves on to the bar. she just wanted the ease factor of using both inner and outer tie rods
