Anybody ever heard of "plastisol"?....

Guy came in Pep Boys the other day was telling me what he was gonna try.
Spray his interior piece with spray Plastisol(sold at Home Dep and Lowes) then...spray over that with the correct color. Get the durability of Plastisol and .....if you don't like the color...it peels off in one piece without a bunch of stripper!
Said a lot of guys were spraying rims and even EXHAUST TIPS with the stuff, with NO adverse problems!
I may try spraying my strut rods and other things to get a nice smoooth finish on. How about the waterpump and/or front cover?!
This fellas's suppose to come back by and show me the results of his spraying.
I'll keep ya'll informed!

Re: Anybody ever heard of "plastisol"?....

i think he meant plasti dip. It sounds like the same product. I have used it to paint a set of wheels and some emblems. It works pretty well but ive never top coated over it. Can be a pain to take off as it doesnt always completely peel off, but it isnt bad.
