I have a 4 coupe with 289 v8 power steering i noticed what seems to be a zerk fitting on the control valve what's that for?

The one that lubes the reaction valve? The spool moves side to side as you exert left or right turn effort. It has to be able to move in the bore.

I try and get pics. I think it's odd it'd have a zerk fitting in the control valve.
