65,66 fastback

What color black is on the inside of the roof louvars on 65,66 fastbacks. The small coves by the screens. Is it gloss, satin or flat black with the thin chrome edge? Putting all back together so I need to get these areas painted. Thanks.

Yes those are the ones. The vents above the wheels. Sorry for the poor description.

Re: 65,66 fastback

Mine were flat black but that was in 1990 when I repainted them.  They could have faded since 1966.  I went back with satin black 7777 rustoleum and they have faded to flat black through the years.

Re: 65,66 fastback

I don't have the PPG color code number, but if you use Rustoleum 7777 Satin Black you won't be far off. Buy a spray can of that color code at WalMart to test. Rustoleum color code number is on the bottom right of the back label with the bar code. WalMart usually carries spray cans and quarts of that color code.

Whoops, simultaneous post.

Re: 65,66 fastback

Thanks guys. Satin black it is. Looks like fun taping off some areas inside these little buggars.
