The seats have electric memory. They slide all the way back when the car is off and slide back forward to your set place when the car starts - or something like that. I forgot the exact details.
My 2015 GT started the production process yesterday. I expect to get it late next week...I hope, I hope.Thats a really nice feature! Im still trying to gey my power van seats perfect...LOL
My '13 F150 has that feature and lemmetellya, with my hip-bone issues that's a real handy feature. It can easily be disabled if not desired.
The older I get, the more creature comfort bells and whistles I require...wonder if I could incorporate those into the 'stang? Hmmmm.

Does your 2013 have the 5.0 BB? Do you like the performance?

My 2013 has a v6-6speed-performance suspension-Recaro seats. It handles very well, is quiet, gets 29mpg on the hiway, is very comfortable, and is really fast for a DD. However, after several months of me driving it, my wife told me to get a new one with an automatic so she can drive it too - she can but won't drive a stick.
So, I waited for the 2015 to get the IRS. This time I cut for the 5.0 because a Mustang is not a Mustang without a v8. The performance suspension is a little too stiff for me at my advanced age:-) (it is not available with a v8/auto), and the seats in the '15 are good enough that I don't need the Recaros - even though I love them.
Anyone looking for a low mileage 2013 Mustang?

3.5 twin-turbo Ecoboost...and I love the performance. Pulls like a small diesel. 420 lb. ft. @ 2500.

The memory seats are an option on the 2015 GT and they only come as part of a package that I did not see the need to buy. I had to keep the price down and I did not want the side warning and crash avoidance red lights flashing in my face like they do on Sherry's MKZ. I cannot back the MKZ out of the garage without a symphony of various warning bells going off. I hate that! Plus did not want the sensor buttons in the bumper. I did get the big backup camera screen. Now THAT is handy. I wish they put one in front aimed so I could see the parking bumpers when pulling into a parking spot. Maybe Bullet can figure out how to make a front camera play into that big screen for me. You could sell a ton of those!
I will likely unplug the seat's adjustment wires to keep the clowns at the car wash from messing with the seat when they vacuum the car. Since I am the only driver, it only needs one setting.

Actually, I had the right side view camera on our travel trailer feeding into the backup screen on the new F150. But, it would switch to the truck rearview camera when I went to reverse...not much help. Before I figured how to make it all work we sold the trailer.
I think you can feed vid into the navi screen through a aux vid input in the console...at least our's does. In that case you just need a 12v camera and some hook up stuff. I have a spare but may use it on the new trailer once I figure how to do it. Butt (TS&T) they ain't real pricey...Google it. Mine are wireless but you can get them either way.

They changed the front plate law in Texas last year. Now if you drive past a grumpy LEO without a front plate you could be out $200. I guess it depends on how important style is to you.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
