Been fighting Cancer for almost 6 years. Got a phone call from the Doc yesterday. She say's the tests are all back and the cancer is gone or hidding. The words are CANCER FREE..... Have had chemo, radiation, chemo, stem cell transplant, more chemo, radiation and more chemo over the last 6 years. She say's it will take several month's to get off the meds and let the chemo wear off, but it all looks good. She was very happy with all the test results.
So it looks like I can get back on the 66 project. I am 6 years behind, but have collected lots of parts. Maybe I can get to the bash in a couple years.

Super, super, super cool. I'm thinking that for one that can win that battle...building a fine Mustang will be a walk in the park. Looking forward to meeting you one day, Steve. Congratulations.

That's great news Steve thanks for sharing. Sometimes we all get caught up in the mundane things in our life and whine about the least little thing. It takes a story like yours to remind us that maybe things aren't so bad after all. Sounds like a pretty tuff six years and I'm glad that you are doing fine. Now enjoy life and do what you love, and if that is working on your Mustang then that's great, maybe we can join in on the fun and help with any info on the rebuild. There's a lot of knowledge on this site, and the people here share it freely and gladly. Mike

Congratulations on the good news. Take care of yourself and eat a healthy diet full of cancer fighting foods that will help keep your body on the right path. Spend as much time, if not more on yourself, as you do on your car. Wishing you the best and hope to see you at a Bash real soon.

Congratulations on the good news. Here's hoping that is the first in a long string of good reports. I have personnally seen the battle from all sides, so I appreciate what you have been through. As Al said, eat right, take your medicine, exercise, and keep a positive outlook, which includes working on your 66.

That truly is great news to hear. You are on the road to recovery, and you can now get back to something important - like building your Mustang! I am sure that will be a great source of therapy for you.
Hello to a fellow Pacific Northwest Mustang enthusiast! I live in Mukilteo, just south of Everett in Washington, but I was born in Portland. My son, who is also loves Mustangs, lives in Gresham and hmartin25 is a local to you also in Metzger (I grew up in Metzger myself). He is a very knowledgeable source of all things Mustang who is a frequent poster here on the board.
If you are feeling up to it next July and want to get inspired on your Mustang rebuild - come on up to Seattle and check out Mustangs Northwest's Roundup - "The World's Largest Annual Gathering of Mustangs" at Bellevue College. Check out our website: www.mustangsnorthwest.com for more info.
Welcome back!

That is so good to hear. It will be great to have you around for years to come.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
