"What-the-heck-is-beach-music" you may ask?!
Most all southern folks know...butt it also refered to as west coast "swing music"!
Its also known as Shag music... it's mostly 50's/60's/EARLY 70's type stuff! (pre Beatles)
Like I said.............just wondering.
Google.. Carolina beach music for a look and listen.
60's music and 60's Mustangs are a natural!!!!!

Here's one of the few videos if Jan and Dean before Jan smashed his head . . That is Leslie Gore in the beginning handing them the microphone . . This id from a concert that was held at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium and included The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Gerry & the Pacemakers, James Brown, Billy J. Kramer & The Dakotas, Marvin Gaye, The Supremes, Lesley Gore, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, and The Beach Boys. Admission was around $5.00
Heres Dick Dale with Stevie Ray Vaughan...What?

BB........ya know, you could install a luggage rack on Jean's coupe, and strap down a new spare gas tank...never know who might need one......

To make it all the way to the Atlantic I will probably have to buy a couple more old Fords to see if I can find one that will make it that far.

Tubo, surely they were not talking about one of those IllegitimateIllinoisingeniousintrovertedinoperative fuel pumps, were they?
All I know is this... If there is ever another midnight pump installation party and I am not invited, I am going to be pissed.

At the bash in September we had a cruise in at our local Sonic. I was already parked and helping other cars park. I got a call from Corky saying he was 2 blocks away and his car quit. I went to assist and we determined the car was not going to be fixed along the road so my cousin volunteered his 30 foot enclosed trailer to haul him back to my house. We winched it on and returned to the cruise in. Afterward we took the car to my house and pushed it up on my lift and Josh k bob, myself, bullet bob, barry, corky, and Karol proceeded to try to figure why this beast quit. This started around 9 pm. By midnight we had drained the tank, took out the fuel sending unit, reinstalled unit refilled tank and changed the Fuel pump and had it running. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!
My cousin has an immaculate 57 Chevy Nomad that belonged to his brother who was killed in 1974. He does trailer it most of the time EXCEPT when he is hauling Ford products home after they quit. He hauled mine home for the same reason!!
Here is My cousins 57 Nomad
Here we are loading my 65 into the trailer. These 2 incidents happened less than a month apart

In case you can't tell thats a Duramax diesel pulling that trailer not a Powerstroke! I hear that A LOT!!!!!!!!!

Yup Terry!!
That's exactly how I remember the fuel pump story.
I usually do fuel pump, filter, tank renovations between Bashes. Not driving the car and finishing up just in time to leave on the next Bash Road Trip. That way the latest Bash Road Trip is the test of the lastest fuel system. This year I pulled the whole thing appart first thing on getting home. Fixed on all of it, and reassembled the thing. I've even been driving the 2+2 around town & over to P-cola. All seems to be working well, even with the passage of winter.
MM is currently just up on jack stands, to under go a thirdmemberendectomy. So unless Eric really builds me that custom built & baffeled aluminum tank w/interior fuel pump, fuel issues are going to be concidered done fer a while.

As I recall Terry, Doyle was also part of the investigative crew that night also.

I think glow-in-the-dark arrows might be a better choice since red isn't always that easy to see late at night. Or maybe different size fittings or somethings. So was this pump in the tank? Sounds like a fun popcorn & beer event, haveta remember to pack the lawn chairs if we can make it to the bash. . .
Offline
If it had been in the tank, arrows would not have been necessary.
