I just ran across this one picture of my Mustang just after the Arning drop. The second picture was taken after I moved the spring perches out 3/4". Worthy of note, the front end height after the perch relocation is pretty much the same as before the Arning drop.
You can see there is quite a difference. The drop was much more than was commonly advertised.

Looks like the second picture sits alot higher. Moving the springs outward increases the effective spring rate, so it makes sense it would sit a little higher.

Agree with Steve, also did you have new front springs when you did the drop? Guessing old tired springs may lower more?

No, in both cases I retained the original springs. I figured that all of the settling was already out of them. I did want to get the front end back up a bit, that is one of the reasons I did the perch relocation. All things being equal, (retention of springs) the Arning Drop lowered the front more than I expected and wanted.
I posted these pictures mainly to give people an idea how far the Arning drop MAY lower the front end.

Just finished the "arning drop/Shelby drop" butt haven't let the car touch the ground yet.(disc brake mod) My springs are the original+ a full coil was cut out, years ago, so it already was touchy with a passenger of sizeable "girth" going over speed bumps and whatknot(s)! I planned ahead(for once) and put in 1" poly spacers(as per BB) so I think the "drop" will be minimal. (I hope)

PS........all the raves about how much "better" everything will be when doing the drop had better be true.....I hate compressing those sprangs!

Without a doubt, everything else being equal, you will be happy with the Arning Drop.
