Part of me likes the idea of cleaning it up and keeping the patina, another part would like to see it fully restored. Yet another part that likely exists only because I myself am getting older, would love to see it back on the track. As we get older we lose our physical competetive edge. We slow down, we take longer to recover from injury. we weaken. Cars don't do that. They can keep doing what they were built to do: winning. I believe a '428 SCJ car still holds the Super Stock drag record thatr sits in the mid 10s. I'd love to see this old warhorse blasting down the 1320 on its way to a 10 second ET. Oh sure, the effite collectors will cry about preserving history and originality. What better way to preserve history than to make it releavant and exciting? Kids aren't going to learn about these cars sitting in climate controlled museums on red velvet carpet. They'll learn about them the way I did, listening to them bark through open headers and screaming at high RPM, smelling Cam2 in the staging lanes, and watching them hang the hoops when they launch.

Well said, TKO. THere is speculation that classic car prices will drop in the next decade, because the next generation as a whole isn't as interested in classic cars....I don't know if its true, I sure hope it isn't.
