About my 66 grille.......

Some of the little "teeth"/vertical pieces have broken on one side. I tried glue but no workie. Anybody got a "fix" to bond it back together.....or just relace that section/ half of grille?
Anybody got a good one they took off when they put on that "trick" new grille?!!
thanx,

Re: About my 66 grille.......

I have a 66 mustang and had to take off the grill when I installed the shelby fog lights.  It's really simple to do.  I don't believe replacement grills are that expensive, less thatn $100.  Of course expense is a relative thing.  I wouldn't bother trying to patch it and just replace it.  Any adhesive you use is going to end up looking like a glob of a mess in order to have any strength which will stick out like a sore thumb.

Re: About my 66 grille.......

Mebbe you could take a fresh sheet of 18g something and lay it across the back of the grille to have a good 'surface' to glue the old stuff to....

The best plastic-plastic bonding stuff I've found is SureHold Plastic Surgery (http://www.surehold.com/adhesives/7-plastic-surgery-302.html).  I get it at Ace and there are very few plastics it won't bond together.  It will also glue skin to skin and skin to almost everything else.

Placstic can be bad stuff.
