Today I got rid of some serious POS on the fastback. ever since I got the car in 1992, I have hated the fact the previous owner used pop rivets and fiberglass to replace the passenger rear floorboard, and it looked REALLLY BAAAD. In order to install the new frame connectors, I wanted to replace the floor first. Here are some pictures showing the progress.
Someday I will figure out how to post multiple pictures in the order I intend for them to be presented!
I used a 4-1/2" angle grinder with a cutoff wheel to square up the opening.
This was left after drilling out rivets and chiseling off fiberglass. Previous Owner Syndrome at its best. Looks like they took it out using a cutting torch.
